Tips and Tricks
Each and every client has their own taste and preferences, and it is important that we create the right pictures for you, so we ask that you do a little preparation before your visit to the studio. A good way to start is to leaf through a variety of glossy magazines (Vogue, Marie Clare, FHM, etc …) and tear out a collection of pictures that you "Love" and another selection that you "Hate" – this will help you to refine your ideas for the session, and show us exactly what direction to take your shoot.
Once you have some definite ideas take time to consider what clothing and accessories you will need to bring to help us create these images. There will be time for several clothing changes, and each outfit can represent a different mood or style that you would like to recreate. Don’t forget to include shoes, belts, handbags or jewellery that will help to complete your look. Please DO NOT use spray on tan during the 5 days leading to your session.
Your shoot will start with a chat through your desires, and a look at your "Love & Hate" tear sheets, this will help convey your concepts and we can also recommend a few. Our make up artist will ensure that you are beautifully made up and your hair styled to complement your choice of picture styles – and this may take up to one hour at the start of your shoot. She will then remain on hand to assist with any changes as the shoot progresses. I will take as many pictures in as many styles as I can to give you a wide variety of finished images. Your complete shoot from arrival to finish may take up to 4 hours, or longer.
I will be calling you a couple of days prior to your shoot to ensure that you are happy and to answer any last minute questions that you may have – but of course you may call the studio at any point before then if there is any other way in which we can help.
You will find our studio friendly and relaxed, and we know that you are going to enjoy your shoot just as much as your finished pictures.
