Tips and preperation ideas for your shoot...

Styles

If you can do it - we'll photograph it!
Basically anything goes - standing, sitting, running, jumping, playing, posing, relaxing, hugging, kissing, laughing, smiling - we love to capture real emotions, so that your portraits positively burst with vitality.  We do mean and moody too - so think a while about the pictures you want to create.

Clothing

Wear clothing in keeping with the style of portrait you want to create - smart casuals suit fun relaxed images, whilst more formal clothing is better suited to more stylised photographs.
Make sure that everyone is similarly dressed, and stick to a colour theme.  We use a white background, so very light or very dark colours tend to look more stunning.  Simple styles will always remian timeless - and, of course, denim never goes out of fashion!

At home

We will give you stunning images, presented in a range of classic and contempory styles - you need to decide where at home (or at work!) you want to show them off.  Consider the available space, and the type of decor and furnishings.  We don't know your home - but you do - so help us to give you portraits that truly complement their surroundings.

In the studio

Guy will have a brief chat with you when you arrive, just to go over once more what you are looking to get from your portrait session.  You will then go up to the studio - and the fun begins!  Guy will shoot a range of pictures for you in various poses, moods and styles, depending on what you are wanting.  The portrait session should last approximately 45 minutes.

Time to catch your breath!

After your portrait session we will take a few minutes to talk you through the styles of portrait we can produce for you, and show you some examples.  We will then arrange for you to come back within one to two weeks to view and select the your pictures, and choose your mounting and framing options.

Alternatively, we can arrange (with suitable prior notice) immediate viewing directly after your portrait session, for a small additional fee.

Your portraits will usually be ready within 4 weeks of ordering, and we will contact you to let you kno when they are ready for collection.
